Iranian film ‘A Baby with Red Socks’ has won three awards at the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes in France.

Iranian film ‘A Baby with Red Socks’ has won three awards at the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes in France.

Directed by Khodadad Jalali, the movie won the Best Director, Best Actress and Best Original Score awards at the festival.

The Best Original Score went to Sattar Oraki for the music of the film and Samaneh Nasri received the Best Actress Award for her role in the movie.

‘Mermaid’ directed by Amir-Masoud Aqababaian also won the Best Feature Film and Best Feature Screenplay awards while the Best Short Film award went to Maryam Firouzi’s ‘The Provisional Death of Bees’.

Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes highlights a selection of best films from around the world at Hotel Barriere Le Gray d'Albion of Cannes.

The festival aims to promote independent filmmakers and innovative works.

Mediterranean Film Festival is currently underway from November 25-30 2017.
